International Pesticides Forum was started in “Caucasus Riverside” hotel of Qabala region with the organization of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and International HCH & Pesticides Association on September 7, 2011. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic Azerbaijan Husein Bagirov opening the Forum with indroductory remarks gave comprehensive information to the participants on implemented successive measures for settlement of urgent environmental problems in Azerbaijan on the basis of sustainable development principles, as well as environmental problems remained from the Soviet Union.The Minister also mentioned his hope for settlement of pesticide problems in Azerbaijan over the near 8-10 years.

Later on speeches by the director of International Pesticides Association John Vijgen, representative of the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic İvan Holubek, member of administrative personnel of the International Pesticides Association Branko Druzina, representative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of the Federal Republic of Germany Andreas Biber, representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan Janibek Derbishaliyev and others were attended.
The Forum will last till September 9, 2011 and Qabala resolution will be adopted in the end.
