The Eco World Public Union supports the EU’s Zero Pollution Action Plan. Therefore, İt held its first event in Shirvan National Park as part of the “Green Week” policy which was organized on the basis of the European Green Agreement, scheduled for spring 2021. On May 22, 2021, a visit to Shirvan National Park was organized with the participation of volunteers. During the event, “eco-volunteerism” was promoted, an eco-tour was organized in the park and information about the nature was provided.
During the eco-tour, volunteers observed rare birds, gazelles and nature in general.
The employees of Shirvan National Park informed the volunteers about environmental pollution and the importance of the protected natural areas. They also spoke about the importance of “eco-volunteerism” and educated young people about the environment.
During the event, volunteers assisted the park staff to carry out gardening works in the park, planted flowers in the park.
The visits were held with the participation of young volunteers, following the rules of the pandemic.
