With the growing population even the problems are increasing and of late they have taken a demonic size, which is commanding expert attention to be solved. There are problems like Air Pollution, Drinking water pollution, Global warming, Hazardous Waste, Ozone Depletion and many others, which makes the list endless. As globalization paves its way across the world these problems no longer remain local problems but become international issues and there are numerous causes of these problems, some of which are created by man and can also be controlled by man. California
Tracing rivers to their fountains makes the most charming of travels. As the life blood of the landscapes, the best of wilderness comes to their banks, and not one dull passage is found in all their eventful histories.” John Muir, one of California’s greatest citizens, marveled at the “eventful histories” of the state’s rivers. As these waters journey from the mountains to the sea or the Great Basin, they encounter the full sweep of the state’s remarkable landscape. Trout Unlimited’s California mandate is to protect, reconnect, restore and sustain our great salmon, steelhead, and trout – from the source to the sea. Continue reading California

March 22 – World Day for Water
15/03/2012. The United Nations Conference on Environment and Development held in 1992 suggested for the first time to celebrate any day as a World Water Day for the purpose of remembrance of the significance of fresh water for humankind. Based on this suggestion the UN General Assembly declared March 22 as the World Day for Water in 1993, and it has been celebrated since that year. Everyone in the world drink 2-4 l water per day, but more fresh water is used up for consumed agricultural products. In this regard, 15000 l water is consumed for 1 kg meat production, while up to 1500 l water is utilized for 1 kg wheat. Unfortunately water reserves have unequally been distributed among the countries all over the world. Billions of people suffer from the shortage of fresh and clean water. Fresh and clean water problem is one of the most urgent challenges of 21st century the humanity face. Continue reading March 22 – World Day for Water
